RETURNING YOUR COLOGUARD® KIT THROUGH UPS®
Ship back your kit for swift results
Once you’ve collected your sample and packed your Cologuard kit, ship it back to us through UPS using the included prepaid label. Choose the return option that works for you — pickup or drop-off — and that’s it.
Important: Send back your Cologuard kit the same day you collect your sample, or the next day at the latest. To avoid shipping delays, it’s best not to use your kit on weekends and holidays. Once it arrives at our lab, results are typically available in 2 weeks.

Frequently asked questions
No problem. We need an address where you can receive the kit, but it doesn't need to be your permanent address.
No. You don't need to be at home at the pickup time, but leave your Cologuard test box in a visible location, such as near your front door.
It should be all right if a little urine gets into your collection container. Too much, though, could make the sample unusable. Recollect your sample if you think too much urine has gotten in. Here are a couple of tips:
- Empty your bladder before collecting your sample
- Try moving the container a little farther back under your toilet seat
Do not use the Cologuard test if you have blood in your stool due to actively bleeding hemorrhoids or a monthly period. That may cause a false positive result.
To collect your sample, you’ll need to sit on a toilet to have a bowel movement. You’ll also need to be able to open and close all bottles and containers. If you typically need help with these activities, you may need help while collecting the sample.
